The Trailway will provide a rural-urban gateway to the UNESCO World Heritage (WH) property Historic Bridgetown and its Garrison via a natural corridor connecting the East and West coasts of the island.

It will help to highlight the cultural values of other tentative World Heritage sites, including The Industrial Heritage of Barbados: The Story of Sugar and Rum and The Scotland District of Barbados.
