Using the geospatial date collected by the late Dr. Colin Hudson and his UWI students in the late 1970s, field names are assigned to fields along the Trailway.

Some of these names are easily dated to the 17th century as their owners appear on the 17th and 18th century maps.

Some (Garden) may indicate possible burial sites at various plantations in use long before the advent of the railway in the 19th century.
